Ballet 101 is a simple, stress free and informative session that challenges both adults and children who wish to be introduced to the world of the arts. Dancers are taken on a step-by-step journey that begins with preparation and warm-up, and paces them through easy ballet moves that focus on the barre. The instruction is presented without music accompaniment, and the class ends with a grand dance finale to music, all incorporating what's been taught. It's a learning experience that's as exciting as it is fun, and is specifically designed for beginners.
Ballet 101 & 201, Combinations 2 We taught you beginning ballet moves in "Ballet 101, A Beginner's Class" and "Ballet 201, Beyond the Basics". You've already danced through "Combinations 1". This addition to the series picks-up from there, giving students a chance to develop even further by introducing another set of new dance pieces. After warming-up and stretching, an instructor uses the ballet moves you've learned, then adds new moves to choreograph and pace you through a variety dance combinations found in ballet classes and performances throughout the world: Adagio, Waltz, Petite Allegro, Grand Allegro and Reverence. "Combinations 2" focuses on choreography, stage presence, and performance quality. New ballet steps and trickier footwork are introduced to make the combinations unique. Ballet is a graceful workout that can improve carriage, increase flexibility and strengthen the body...so dance now, and take your bow!
The Ballet Workout II In this sequel program, instructor Melissa Lowe provides the viewer with two new workouts which address the goal of achieving a lithe, supple body, and improved carriage and the look and grace of a professional dancer. Ballet Workout II can be used as a supplement to the original program or as an exercise course in itself. If you desire to reshape your body, get rid of cellulite, tighten your stomach and have the look you have always wanted, regular usage of Ballet Workout II will help you achieve your goal.
Madeline at the Ballet Madeline dreams of being a Prima Ballerina for the most famous ballet production, The Happy Swan. When Madeline auditions for The Happy Swan everyone is chosen but her because she is too small. Join Madeline as she learns that with courage and a little spirit she can become the star of the show!
The Ballet Workout If you've taken ballet in the past--or if you've always wanted to--pull on your tights and leg warmers and enjoy this video. Melissa Lowe, a former soloist and principal dancer with several ballet companies, leads two levels of workout. Level 1 is for those with little or no ballet training; ballet experience is helpful for level 2. Each level has three segments: floor work (stretches to warm up the muscles), barre work (standing exercises and positions done holding onto a barre or chair), and center work (more intense conditioning with balance, traveling, and some jumping).
